About me
My experience
I bring twenty years’ leadership experience in the UK and international non-profit sector, with a track record of leading organisations through growth, change and increasing complexity.
I’ve held senior roles including Chief Operating Officer at WeProtect Global Alliance, Director of Operations at Girls Not Brides, and Chief Operating Officer at Redthread. In these roles, I held responsibility for operations, impact and governance, working across finance, people and culture, risk and compliance, grant-making, external engagement, and systems development.
I’ve led organisational change, built and restructured teams, strengthened governance and decision-making, and developed the systems and processes that underpin effective and resilient organisations.
This breadth of experience gives me a whole-organisation perspective. I combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, bringing integrity, sound judgement and a collaborative approach, and focusing on what will genuinely work in practice.
While representing organisations externally, I’ve attended high-level events and networking forums; delivered presentations to the Presidents of France, Argentina, Estonia and Nauru; and spoken at the United Nations in Geneva.
I hold a distinction-level Master’s degree in Voluntary Sector Management, which underpins my practical experience with a strong grounding in the sector. I’m also a member of Young Epilepsy’s Champions’ Circle, reflecting my ongoing commitment to causes I care about.
I’m based in London and work with organisations across the UK and internationally.
My approach
My work is led by a clear set of values: integrity, excellence and respect. These shape how I work with clients and the standards I hold myself to.
I work closely with leadership teams, CEOs and boards, tailoring my approach to each organisation’s context, priorities and stage of development. There’s no one-size-fits-all model and my focus is always on what will be most useful and workable in practice.
I take a collaborative, listening-led approach, creating space for open and honest conversations while bringing constructive challenge where it’s needed.
My advice is practical and grounded in real-world constraints. I recognise the pressures non-profits face - from limited capacity to funding uncertainty - and focus on realistic, prioritised recommendations that can be implemented.
Where helpful, I also provide hands-on support to help turn plans into action and embed change over time.
